Welcome to the portal of Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy – an institution that stands out as a living testimony of Armenian culture for over one hundred and ninety years, in Kolkata, the cultural citadel of India.

The Academy is the oldest seat of learning in the entire Armenian Diaspora. Founded in April, 1821, the Academy has been a venerable witness of innumerable historical events, political upheavals, linguistic alterations, climatic variations and other social changes. In the face of these inevitable changes, what has not altered even a bit, however, is the indomitable spirit of Armenian national ethos.

The Armenian College has most significantly imbibed and nurtured the two thousand year long Indo – Armenian relationship and it continues to remain an embodiment of the fraternity between the two countries.
